Mindfulness is the awareness that arises through paying attention on purpose in the present moment without judgement.
Meditation isn't just a giver. It also takes things away from us too. Although I have a feeling they are not things that you would miss. Develop a regular, daily practice and all this could be a thing of the past:
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
