A four week walk back to you
You’re not broken. You never were.
Fourteen gentle walks with a developmental trauma practitioner. For the quiet ones who’ve spent decades reading everything, understanding everything... and still feel stuck. Because understanding was never the missing piece. Feeling it was.
walk with me
The inner experience
You’ve read the books. Done the therapy. Watched the videos. Tried the journalling, the meditation, the mindset hacks. Years of talking.
You understand yourself better than most people ever will.
And yet.
i.The overthinking
Stuck up in your head. Analysing every conversation before it happens, replaying it for hours after. Thinking everything, feeling almost nothing.
ii.The freeze
There’s something you really want to do, and you just can’t start. The overwhelm rises, the procrastination takes over... the cake, the scrolling, the Netflix.People call it lazy. You never once chose it.
iii.The chameleon
Reading every room. Pleasing everyone, becoming whoever they need you to be. And somewhere in all of it, you lost track of what you want... or that you’re allowed to have needs at all. Everyone around you thinks you’re fine. Calm, even. Inside, it’s noise.
iv.The lid
Going through the motions, feeling none of it. Living at maybe 40% of who you are... like something got turned down years ago and never came back up.
And you have read this paragraph the way you have lived the last twenty years. Straining slightly, to make it out.
What’s wrong with me?
Why, after all of this, am I still here?
Take a breath with the circle. This page isn’t going anywhere.
From someone walking it now
I was skeptical at the start of this course. I’ve been on this healing journey for years now and I’ve learned about introversion, MBTI personality types, Highly Sensitive Persons, mindset hacks, meditation. It all helped in a way, but there was never any lasting change. This course has done away with all of those labels and focuses on what remains if you look underneath all that.

The reframe
What you’ve been calling laziness, overthinking, anxiety, the freeze, the performing... those aren’t character flaws. They’re survival responses.
A beautiful, incredible, powerful strategy a much younger version of you put in place to keep you safe.
Because the alternative was unbearable. As children, we’ll do anything to stay connected to the people we rely on. Even if it means cutting off parts of ourselves. Not as a conscious choice. As survival.
It didn’t need to be dramatic. For most of us it wasn’t. It’s the small things we didn’t get, over and over, before we had words for them. And if part of you is already saying my childhood wasn’t that bad... that part is doing its job too.
What grew in that gap is what my teacher Gaia calls the personal lie. The belief you carry underneath, in the bones: I’m not enough. I don’t deserve love. I’m broken. These aren’t truths. They’re stories your nervous system has clung to, to keep you safe.
They were never broken. They were brilliant.
You weren’t failing. You were protected. By a part of you that didn’t yet know the danger had passed.
This isn’t about turning yourself off. It’s about gently lifting the lid together.
I’ve been here
I spent more than ten years trying everything.
Self help. Books. Affirmations. (At one point I even covered my entire house in positive affirmation post it notes.) CBT. A spiritual phase that brought relief, until it didn’t. Two bouts of depression. Years of binge drinking. A long, quietly exhausting corporate life that looked fine from the outside.
I understood myself better than most people I knew. And I still felt fundamentally flawed.
I’d read another book and think this is it. Try the practice for a few weeks. Feel something shift. Then watch it slip away again. The same quiet question underneath, every time.
What’s wrong with me?
What actually moved wasn’t a book, or a technique, or another insight. It was sitting with my teacher, Gaia Pollini, and finally feeling something I’d spent thirty five years pushing down.
Not because of what she said. Because of how she stayed. Steady, unhurried, while my body did what it had been waiting to do.
That’s the work. That’s what these four weeks are. Not another framework. A walk. With someone who’s been where you are. Until what’s underneath has room to breathe.
You’re not failing. You’ve been using the right intention with the wrong tool.
What it feels like inside
I offer free conversations from my YouTube channel. People I’ve never met arrive on a Google Meet. Most of them have read everything. Here’s how it tends to go.
They arrive.
Heady. Overwhelmed. Apologising for taking my time.
I ask a different question.
Not what they think. What’s happening in their chest. Or their shoulders. Or their breath.
They point to it.
A tightness. A weight. A held thing. They didn’t know it was there until they looked.
We just stay.
I ask if it’s okay to stay with it. We do, for a moment. Sometimes a long moment. Sometimes a very quiet one.
Something shifts.
Shoulders drop a notch. Breath gets a little deeper. They look up, slightly surprised. They say something like:
Nothing was solved. Nothing was fixed. Nothing was prescribed. Something just had room.
The walks in this experience are recordings of me doing the same thing, alongside you. Out in the fields. By a waterfall. Wherever the body needed to be that day.
It isn’t a session with me. But it is, in every way that matters, the same shape of work.
A walk from inside the course
Two minutes from module three. The day I told the story of the pier. Unedited, apart from trimming it down. This is what the walks are.
The walk couldn’t load just now. Refresh the page, or email me at jon@jonimondi.com and I’ll send it to you directly.
If this is the voice you want to walk with...
What you’ll walk through
Validating the pain before teaching a single thing.
Understanding the mechanics, so you can stop blaming yourself.
Where the work actually happens.
Bringing it into the life you’re actually living.
Each walk is 10 to 20 minutes. Mostly outdoors. No performance, just me thinking out loud with you.
And alongside the walks
Module summaries
Indoor, at my desk. For the part of you that wants to take it in differently.
Podcast episodes
One per module. For the days you’d rather listen on a walk of your own.
Bonus content
Extra videos, reflections, and things I made because the moment called for them.
Self paced after week four. Lifetime access. Whatever rhythm your body asks for.
From people walking it now
It feels almost like the missing piece in all this work, and makes sense of a lot of things. I feel like I have been hiding behind a door most of my life... but now the door is visible and opening, and I see a path to hope ahead.

I finished the course and can honestly say it was fantastic. I was concerned initially it may have been just a re-run of your YouTube videos, but I was pleasantly surprised with how many new insights and strategies were there. It became more powerful towards the end.
I feel a slight easing of my response to triggers when I just sit with them and let them flow through me.

How rapidly everything is shifting now that I feel safe and understood.
Hannah · course member
Allowing myself to take time and not be rushing to an end point is really quite a profound change for me. Giving myself permission to go more slowly, meander, breathe and expand in the moment is still a bit scary but I enjoy doing it.

I need to take it in small doses. I am going slowly. It is work. Good work, important work, but it is difficult. But your message is resonating very strongly with me. You are making a difference.

About Jon

I’m Jon. NARM Practitioner. Being Me Therapist. Seven years of training with Gaia Pollini in developmental trauma work.
I came to this work the long way round. Cancer at 41. A twenty five year corporate career I left at 44. Thirty five years of believing I was the problem.
I’m not a guru. I’m not interested in being one. My videos have been watched more than 160,000 times, mostly by quiet people who recognise themselves in them.
I’m someone a few steps ahead on the same path. Turning around to say... it’s this way. Come with me.
What this isn’t
Just walks. And the slow, steady work of coming home to yourself.
Questions people ask
This is the question I asked myself for years. Most of what you’ve tried was top down. Books, frameworks, insight. They’re useful, but they can’t reach what’s stored in the body. This works from underneath. Body first. The same shape of work that finally moved something in me after a decade of trying. I can’t promise it lands the same way for you. I can promise it isn’t another framework you’ll know cognitively and lose.
It isn’t. I say that as honestly as I can, not as a pep talk. Most of the people who watch my videos find this work later in life. The grief of having found it now is real, and we make room for it. The work still moves what needs to move. It still changes everything that comes after.
No. This work doesn’t require excavation. We don’t go digging through old memories. The body holds what it holds, and we work with what shows up in the present. Sometimes something from earlier rises on its own. When it does, we honour it. But you’re never asked to revisit anything that isn’t ready.
Possibly not much that’s conceptually new, if you’ve read widely. What it gives you that most things don’t is the body based layer. The part that understanding alone couldn’t reach. This is the work that finally lets the knowing land.
None. I assume nothing. We start where you are, in ordinary language. And if the honest answer is I don’t feel much... that isn’t a problem. That’s the starting point. Some walks, nothing big will happen. That counts too. The body knows what to do. We just have to learn to listen.
The walks drip one module a week, for four weeks. That’s the natural rhythm. After the four weeks, everything is yours, self paced and unlocked. The reason for the rhythm: it gives your nervous system time to land each piece before the next arrives. The reason it isn’t longer: I trust your body more than I trust my marketing instincts.
Four weeks if you walk with the rhythm. Possibly longer. You have lifetime access. Come back whenever your body asks for it. And it will ask. Every time you walk these again, the experience will be different. Because the experience isn’t in the content. It’s in your nervous system the day you walk it.
£147 is a one time payment, or two payments of £73.50 a month apart. No upsells, no subscription, no tiers. If now isn’t the time, the free content is always here.
30 day no quibble refund. If you open it, try a few walks, and it’s not for you, email me and I’ll refund you. No forms, no hoops, no awkward questions. I’d rather you be honest with yourself than stuck with something that isn’t landing.
One last thing
If you’ve felt, for years, that you were almost at the door but couldn’t quite find the handle... this might be it. Not because this is magic. Because it meets you where you actually are.
You always were.
